I actually have an appointment this afternoon, but in the mean time, wanted to research my current problem. I woke up Friday morning with what appears to be a spider bite or a boil on my labia majora. I have never had one before. Are these common ? and what to do?
Boils/folliculitis can happen at this site, specially if one shaves this area.
Sweating, heat and humidity, friction and rubbing predispose to folliculitis/boils in general.
If I was your treating doctor I would have started you on oral antibiotics for a week (penicillin group e.g Amoxycillin). Topical OTC antibacterial ointment e.g 2% mupirocin can be applied to the site, twice daily.
regards
