Is It Concerning To Find Sugar Like Crystals In Urine?
Hi,i have to send a urine sample in the morning to the doctor and i have just noticed sugar like crystals in the bottom of the bottle, should i be worried?.
I have been taking a course of anabolic steroids for many months not prescribed by a doctor but stopped now, also it could be a infection?.
Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows. 1. Early morning samples usually contain some amount of crystals due to overnight sedimentation. 2. It is not sugar crystals. It could be casts. If you have any burning micturation or fever along with this, then you need to get a urine microscopy for WBC and bacteria done. 3. Take plenty of water. Dehydration is one of the common cause of increased casts. WBC casts may be due to infection, do get evaluated. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
