Is It Correct To Wean Off Cymbalta By Reducing The Dose By 10 Mg Every Month?

I ve been taking Cymbalta since August 2011. At first it was 60 mg, and that was raised to 90 mg in March of 2013. Now, I ve been trying to wean off of it slowly, since I tried a couple of times in the past to get off it too quickly, with horrendous results. So, since Dec. 20 I went down to 80mg, and feel fine. What do you think about going down 10 mg. each month until getting off it completely in August or September, 2014?

Thanks for query.I wonder how did you reduce 10 mg as cymbalta are available in 30 60. 90 mg doses and usually tapering is done with these doses .breaking the tablet is not advicible in case of cymbalta.consults your doc and plan .every individual needs a different plan .he may add other SSRI like prozac to alleviate withdrawal symptoms.hope you respect this .regards
