Is It Dangerous To Have A Mass On Throat? Could It Be Cured?
Hi, my mother is 87years old and has Alzheimer. She stopped eating and the doctor found a mass on her throat and decide to put a feeding tube. She is home now and has a lot of pain on her throat. She was not treated for the mass they found. Can her condition be treated?
it is impossible to tell you by just your history as i would have to look at the mass to find out what exactly it is and how much is it extending. generally when the patient is not surgically fit , it is better to leave the mass and palliate the patient with feeding tubes and pain killers. please discuss the pain management for your mother with your doctor.
Thanks
