Is It Dangerous To Have Sore Lower Back After Winrho Shot During Pregnancy?

My daughter is 17 years old and 29 weeks pregnant. her blood type (can not remember what it is) required her to get a winrho shot this afternoon. She has since been complaining of a sore lower back on the right side and claims her spine hurts (possibly the lower center of her back....she is not with me at the moment). Is it possible she is having a side effect that we need to address at a clinic or hospital or is it possibly just a pregnancy back pain?

Hello,

Back pain is a common issue during pregnancy. It is due to muscle strain and stress on the spine. Take adequate rest. Apply a warm compress. And take Tylenol if needed. There is no necessity to go to the clinic now.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal, General & Family Physician
