Is It Dangerous To Take Clopidogrel And Nexium Together?
Two weeks ago I had a heart attack. One vein in my heart was 98% blocked. The heart Doctor put in a stent. He prescribed clopidogrel and I am already taking nexium. I heard an ad on the tv that should not take the. medicines together. Can you advice me. thank you. Jeanne Stevens E-Mail YYYY@YYYY

Hi,Dear.Yes nexium and clopidogrel interact with each other,because nexium decreases the effect of clopidogrel and so the sufficent amount of it wil lnot be delivered to your body.So for that you can stop the tablet nexium and replace it with ZANTAC 150mg with a glass of water if you are having any problems related to incresed acidity it is easily available over the counter.
