Is It Difficult To Dislodge Stuck Chicken Straw In Throat?

have some hard sharp organic chicken bedding/straw stuck in my throat 18days now. had x ray and they say cannot remove or do endoscopy as too near vocal chords. they say may absorb or dislodge in 3 to 6 months. this is very distressing and painful, will i be able to find anyone privately to do an endoscopy. i don t feel i can lve with this pain and distress any longer. the medical people at hospital feel this is an acceptable time to wait. it will not dislodge as it is in tissue. please reply. many thaanks

You can ask your GP for referral to a private gastroenterologist who may or may not be able to perform the procedure for you.

He or she will assess you and determine if the procedure is a possibility for you.

Gastroenterologist in your area may also be found online at different web sites such as healthgrades, zocdoc or physiciandirectory.
