Is It Harder To Lose Weight With A High TSH Level Despite A Balanced Diet And Calorie Deficit?
Hello, Recently I have done my Thyroid test where my TSH level is 6.4 , t3 &t4 are normal. Doctor recommended to take 25mg of thyroxine tablet. my weight is 74 kg. I have started my balance diet and walking . My questions is if I have thyroid Is it difficult to lose weight? because I don t see any changes in my weight. following calorie deficit too.
Yes, any thyroid abnormality like high TSH will make one weight loss tough, so one has to be consistent with diet and exercise, one can observe the changes only after TSH gets normal and at least one has to wait for 3 months to see weight loss happening after being regular with diet and exercise.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
