My roommate has diabetes, congestive heart failure, high blood pressure and a past "psychotic break", etc. She is a nice person but she likes to watch murder, murder, murder all day and night if poss. It is her "go to" television, she falls asleep to it and I have been watching it so much I have seen alot of Forensic Files, Investigation ID etc. the same crimes rerun, over and over. Yrs. ago I know not to watch too much of it because I explained that these are real peo.(true crimes) who were subject to gory and heartbreaking endings and wind up on tv. Is this bad for the psyche, the spirit? Can you over do true murder television. I used to cut myself off from it because I knew it was inherently 'bad' but I did enjoy the psychology of learning about the criminals and the crime solving. What harm, if anything, comes from watching murder constantly on television?
