My daughter is 10 years old and has been on psychotic medications since she was 5. Right now her normal regiment includes 60mg of ritalin spread out throughout the day, 2 mg Intuniv and 7.5mg Abilify in the AM and .5 Risperdol at night! I know everyone is different but I really want to do a med was and make sure everything she is on is necessary! I spoke with her psychiatrist and we bad planned to do it over the summer but now he saying that it would not be good since her aggressive behaviors have gotten worse over the last 3 months! Any suggestion what i can do? without admitting her to a hospital. She is very severe abnormal and inconsistent behavior at school and home. What affects could happen if i took her off everything for a good week just to see how she could act?! It cant get much worse! Any comment can help!
