Is It Necessary To Have Rabies Vaccine Post Dog Bite?

I had a dog bite last year in December..... There was no blood came out..only scratches were there...... But I had proper rabies vaccination.. Today again a had dog bite.... No blood came out..... I went to a doctor.... He told that because there is no blood nd you had already
taken vaccination last year., there is no need for injections again.. Did he say right?

The vaccine normally provides protection for 2 to 3 years at least so you would still be covered by your immunization from last year.

This means that you would not need a repeat vaccination at this point.

Hi,
I understand your concern.
* You had a full regime of anti rabies vaccine,one year back.still with a fresh bite/ scratch with salivary touch, by an unknown dog- need two injections - one on the same day of bite, & 2nd on 3rd day.
_ in case it's by a pet dog with proper yearly vaccination/ it's not a rabid dog-You need not have anti rabies injection. Only TT injection would suffice.
