Is It Normal For 10 Year Old To Have Bone Age Of 12?

my child is 10 and he was born at 30 weeks. He is a twin and has always been about 2 1/2 inches shorter than his brother. He is a little chubbier than his brother and is under the 5% for his age group. He was sent to get an exray of his hand. The tech called back and said they would like him to see an endocrinologist. They said he had a bone age of 12. When I read up on this it seems like everything should be ok. He has always been shorter than his age group and has always been a couple inches shorter than his twin. He has different times where he catches up a little and then his brother has his growth spirt. Should we really be concerned? To me it sounds like he is normal.

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
Ten year old having bone age of 12 years it is very minimal.
Boys have growth spurts at different ages.
Not all children grow equally and at the same age.
I do not think you need to be concerned about this.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
Take care
