Is It Normal For A 9 Month Old Baby To Have Iron Deficiency ?
hie.. my son is 9 months old... his height is 29 inches n weight is 19 pounds... he is growing up well and interactive , happy baby. we went fr a docs check up and the doc said he is having iron deficiency ... his hemoglobin is 11 n cells are 65...doc has given an iron .... we dun have ny history of thalasemia.. is there nything to worry????

recurrent loss of Hb% proceed towards thalasemia u should not to worry,think bout dis infestation
Hi,thanks for query.Absolutely there is no reason to worry.Minor iron deficiency is not uncommon.Give him medicines as prescribed,more of green leafy vegetables in from of vegetable soups,fruit juices etc and he will be fine.Please also look for worm infestation,as this is a very common reason for anemia.There is no reason to worry about thalesmia.bye.
