Is It Normal For Epiglottis To Be Visible Incase Of Swollen Tonsils?
Hi I am a 20 year old female and have had swollen tonsils for a few days. I was diagnosed with an acute uri pharyngitis and post nasal drip. I have been constantly looking in my throat and have noticed my epiglottis is quite visible at the base of the tongue and I was just wondering if this is normal?
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You have swollen tonsils and pharyngitis. Epiglottis is not visible normally and you may noticed something else. Don't worry about that. It is not a problem. Just take antibiotic treatment for your tonsils and pharyngitis. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
