The bleeding patron after taking I-pill may be of many types. It may be just spotting, heavy bleeding. It may be immediate after taking I-pill or near your expected period time. As already, mentioned by you, having irregular period, you may expect your withdrawal bleeding sooner.
It is very much normal not to have withdrawal bleeding during the stipulated period and it may become late for few days. Failure rate with I-pill is minimal. Still, you are advised to take home pregnancy test to confirm or rule out a pregnancy.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
