Is It Normal To Bleed Heavy Clots After Having Surgical Abortion And Pills?
Hi, had a surgical abortion 4 days ago, I was seven weeks unfortunately the fetus had died so after they did the procedure (which they said was a miscarriage) I was in pain so the nurse took a sonogram and saw I still had blood clots and gave me some pills and told me once it dissolved to swallow which I did , after a while I started cramping so bad I ran to the restroom and I saw a big blood clot felt a little better now I'm home today and I feel this excruciating pain I run to the restroom and it's more clots and I'm scared I'm not bleeding heavy is this normal
The clots after a surgical procedure are not a good sign. Some pieces may have been left inside [ happens sometimes in cases where the baby is dead inside the uterus, the pieces are more adherent].
You must visit your doctor and not the nurse and check to see if any more bits are remaining inside. If they are there, they will need to be removed surgically else they may continue to cause bleeding and also infection. Hope this satisfies your query.
