Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my wife underwent(D&C) two pathological test i.e. endometrial curriting and endocervial currittings on account of prolonged periods. The lab report says: endometrial currittings: simple hyperplasia without atypia and endocervical currittings : chronic endocervics . the doctor prescribed Deviry tablet 10 mg for twenty days, then break for seven days. But on 11th day bleedings again started. Is it normal ?--RS
As per my clinical experience, the Deviry tablet contains Medroxyprogesterone acetate, which is used to regulate the menses in various clinical conditions including that the post operative period of D and C.However, the Deviry tablet is known to give intermittent vaginal spotting and bleeding per vagina as part of its side effect profile.
In my clinic, I do recommend additional use of Tranaxemic acid and Kerutin C for better control of bleeding issue along with the continuation of Deviry.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
