Reclipsen (28) is a birth control pill which is composed of
Ethinyl estradiol and desogestrel that exerts its function by preventing ovulation.
Common side effects associated with this drug include: nausea, vomiting, bloating,
stomach cramps, breast tenderness or swelling,
nipple discharge, freckles or darkening of facial skin, increased hair growth, loss of scalp hair, changes in weight or appetite,
vaginal itching or discharge, changes in menstrual periods and decreased sex drive.
Weight changes which you are experiencing as increased weight gain is mainly due to water retention.
You can try and control your weight through diet and exercise. In case it is not happening and bothering you much, you need to take suggestions from the Gynecologist to go for alternative mode of
contraceptive.
