Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My whole body has broken out in hives. I have been sick for 10 days straight. I went to the urgent care and they told me I have bronchitis. They could not give me an explanation for me getting the hives. Is it normal to get hives with bronchitis? Also how can I get rid of them safely while breastfeeding?
Hello, First I would like to know that are you taking any medicines for bronchitis. As there can be many causes of hives .1.adverse reaction of any medicine 2.food allergy 3.mites in the bed 4.dust allergy 5.Any viral infection First you should rule out the cause of hives so the triggering factor can be avoided. You can have fexofenadine (allegra) an antihistamine safely during breastfeeding for hives. Regards, Dr.Maheshwari
