Is It Normal To Get Weakness During Pregnancy?

Hello Doctor, My wife is 20 yrs old and has weight approx 54 kgs, her height is approx 1.4 meter. She has pregnancy of approx 7-8 weeks now. Actullay, she gets puking (i.e. she does not vomit, but her heart does not accept certain food like soup, chicken etc). She like to have oranges, & vitamin C oriented food/drinks. The question is she was cooking in the kitchen yesterday morning. Her head was spinning and she fell down on the floor for some time. What do you think her problem is? Is it weakness, if so, what should be taken in food. Her doctor prescribed her the following: 1. Cefiget capsule 400 mg 2. paracetamol tablet 3. Evion 400 mg capsule 4. Navadoxin tablet to be taken before food. Please advise? thanks, Mike

Hi
Dr. Purushottam welcomes you to HCM virtual clinic.
I have gone through your query.
I think I have understood your concern, I will try to suggest you the best possible treatment options.
1] At 7-8 weeks of pregnancy, she is expected to experience symptoms of early pregnancy- including, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, loss of appetite,or liking or disliking for certain foods.
2] I will suggest to continue with the present medicines.
3] She should have small, frequent meals.Do not be empty stomach for more than 3 hours. Avoid foods that cause her aversion from eating.
4] Try to include fruits, salads, vegetables, whole grain foods in the diet.
5] Have 8-10 glasses of water over a day.
6]Just get one USG done.
7] Have regular simple exercise like walking for 20-30 minutes a day.
8] Avoid bakery products, deep fried foods, junk foods, refined flours and refined sugars.
I hope my answer helps you.
Thanks
