Hi I am 60 year old male my blood pressure is consistently circa 150/80 I don't and have never smoked, I don't drink more than a glass or two of wine a week and have a good low salt diet. My Cholesterol is high but it has always been that way since I fist had it checked in my 30's. is my blood pressure something to be concerned about or is it just my norm?
A systolic Blood pressure of 150 is considered to be slightly high as the recommended range is 140/90. As you have said that you are already maintaining good lifestyle habits. So I would like to advice to to start on low dose on antihypertensive medicine like Amlodipine after consulting your doctor personally.
I wish you good health
