Is It Normal To Have A Couple Of Swollen Nodes In The Right Arm Pit Since Five Years Which Are Tender?

I've had a couple of swollen nodes in my right armpit for about 5 years..they are about 1-1.5 cm, sometimes are tender usually when I don't feel
Very good. I noticed them shortly after I started taking birth control. I'm 25 I've had 2 kids within the past couple of years and feel completely fine. Is it normal to just have a couple of bigger nodes?

HI,
Birth control pills are not known to cause axillary lymph node enlargement.
The node you have for last 5 years, represent subcaute infection in them, which might have started with trauma /infection in the hand, breast, axilla itself. ( it might be as miner as shaving of axillary hairs)- It was left untreated/incompletely treated- thus remained there as sub acutely infected gland -getting acute exa'cerba'tion in between, when you feel ill.
It is not advised to keep such nodes untreated. It should be treated by medicine/ removed by surgery.
Thanks.
