Is It Normal To Have Abdominal Pain After Stopping Amethia?

I have been taking Amethia (seasonal package) birth control for a week shy of 2 months. This is the time of the month I would normally have my period and while now on my honeymoon I had sex for the first time and I have some concerns. Is lower abdomen pain normal for this scenario? Its similar to cramps I would have on my period.
