Is It Normal To Have Black Color Around The Area Of Stitches?
My husband stepped down on a rock barefoot and cut his toe open. It got 5 stitches, the skin around the stitches is turning black is this ok? The accident happened two days ago. Also anytime his foot isn't elevated he is in extreme pain, so much that it makes him get dizzy almost pass out and gets cold sweats. We are in a foreign country right now and fly home tomorrow. But the trip is 35hours. 24hours of flight time.
Dear I read your scenario. Due to cold weather it can happen normally .but it can be due ischemia. Your husband should do Full blood count and open the stitches and wash the wound by anticeptics and then restitch the wound. If your husband have any problem regarding this issue you can ask me other wise you should go to near doctor thanks for asking.
