Is It Normal To Have Blood In The Mucus After The Surgery?

I had my adenoids out 8 days ago. It was my second time first was when I was 8. This time I am 25. I have a lot of mucus still since the surgery and still have a sore throat but it's not too bad. My concern is I still have blood in my mucus. Is this normal?
