Is It Normal To Have Brownish Periods While Taking Spirolonactone And Metfromin?
Im 23yrs old I have pcos and my doc had me start taking spirolonactone 100m x2 and metformen 500m x2 a day after my m/c. but now after taking this for almost a year i noticed i have brownish periods for the first 2 days followed by red for a day.is this normal?
Yes, menstrual irregularities and the very condition PCOS itself can also cause the brownish bleed. I would although still recommend a visit to a gynecologist to check on your hormone levels. Any abnormalities can also cause the brownish bleed, and correction of the hormone levels can greatly help with regularization of the menstrual cycle and your bleed.
Best wishes
