Is It Normal To Have Bruise And Bump On Arm Post Implanon Insertion?

I have recently gotten the implanon put back in my arm on Monday. I have had it before and it was fine. Inserted correctly. Could feel it fine no bumpy feelings no bruises all was good this time round. It has brusied. But only on the outline of the rod. It has moved down my arm and feels bumpy. Is this normal? Should I go back and see the doctor?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Ideally, you should not experience any sort of reaction of skin when birth control implants like implanon are inserted.
Since you are experiencing some local reaction due to insertion of implanon, it would be better for you to consult doctor and seek medical attention at the earliest.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
