Is It Normal To Have Burning And Bumps In Tongue After Overuse Of Mouthwash Following A Piercing?
Hello I got my tongue pierced 4 days ago and I used a non alcoholic mouthwash (crest pro health). After 2 days I noticed a burning sensation in my tongue. I was using the mouthwash over 5 times a day. Now day 4 the tip of my tongue is burning because I think I over cleaned my mouth. Ive gotten my tongue pierced before but the last time I used Listerine and I was cmpletely fine. Now I have little bumps on the tip, PLEASE HELP!
This could be due to allergic reaction by the use of mouthwash. I would suggest you to lukewarm saline rinses. Take multivitamin suplements. Visit to a Dentist and get a thorough examination done. At home maintain a good oral hygiene. Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption as this may worsen the condition.
Take care!
