Is It Normal To Have Early Period Bleeding After Taking Pill?
hi there I am currently on the pill however I have my bleeds every month on 7 day breaks however i tent to sometimes get withdrawal bleeding that can last a few days only lightly. I have skipt a period for 2 months yet this month had a period however on day 7 took the pill and had sexual intercause, however I have started my period now a week and a half earily is this anything to worry about.
Irregular taking of emergency pill may cause early or irregular late period due to hormonal imbalance and mental stress.
Other causes could be PCOD, over weight, pelvic infection, polyp etc. I suggest to consult with gynecologist for pelvic examination and proceed one ultrasound scan to confirm the diagnosis.
Lastly, you must use regular combined contraceptive pill on scheduled time from D1 of cycle to get highest protection against unwanted pregnancy and regular monthly cycle.
Good luck.
