Is It Normal To Have Heavy Flow Followed By Light And Very Painful, Heavy Again After Taking Primolut?
Have been put primolut n 5mg because of extremely heavy and painful periods with very large blood clots. Started tablets 3 x a day. Had 3 heavy days followed by 7 lights days. Stopped at day 10 and then 2 light days and now starting very heavy and painful bleeding again. Is this to be expected?
Dear member. Thanks for writing to healthcare magic. If you are having irregular heavy period then it is recommended not to stOp primolut n but taper it. Day 1tablet thrice a day till bleeding stops then twice a day for 3 weeks. After stopping the primolut tab you will get painful but not heavy period. You can consider taking tab pause- Mf thrice a day during heavier flow. It helps most of the time. Also reduces pain. thanks Dr Bhagyashree
