Is It Normal To Have Mild Cramps In 6th Week Of Pregnancy?

Hi. I just went into my sixth week of pregnancy and have been experiencing mild cramps on and off for a couple of weeks and lower back pain (pain on both sides of my lower back) also on and off for a couple of weeks. I wanted to know if this is normal. I m cautious because I had a miscarriage in the first week of December 2013.

yes it is normal to have such cramps and mild low back ache due to stretching of ligaments ( the uterosacrals and the Mckenrodt) under the effect of the progesterone. secondly frequency of urine is also increased along with nausea and smell issues and taste diversions. you may get a urine culture and sensitivity done to rule out any urinary tract infection, which may mimic in a similar manner.regards
