Is It Normal To Have Painful Knot After Hitting On Dashboard Of Car?

While traveling, I bumped into the dashboard of a car while leaning over seat and hit my butt hard because of a deer. I had a painful knot but no bruise. This happened three weeks ago and there s still a little area that is mildly sore. Never got a bruise, should I be examined or is this normal?

Hi
Welcome to Healthcare Magic Forum

You seem to have developed a hematoma deep in your skin due to injury.
A hematoma develops due to internal tear in blood vessels and bleeding.
Such hematomas may take a longer time to clear up.
Just avoid touching or massaging over the affected area.
You can take oral vitamin C 500 mg twice a day orally for rapid healing.
The important thing is that if you tend to develop any pain, redness in the area or any local rise in temperature associated with any fever, then it would surely be a cause of concern and it would need further assessment by a doctor.

Hope it helps
