Hello and welcome to HCM,
I am Dr Nilajkumar a consultant gynecologist and I will be helping you in your queries.
Bleeding and pain are symptoms of cervical cancer but they are less likely in your case. There are other conditions like hormonal imbalances and cervical erosions or polyps that are much more common and hence more likely. Cancer is rare and it also produces foul smelling discharge.

So please do not worry about the cancer. A hormone dysfunction seems more likely. Also the body may take some time to get adjusted to come off the depo shot.

As of now, please use drugs like tranexamic acid to control bleeding after consulting your doctor. Watch the cycles for 2-3 months. Exercise regularly and eat healthy food like fruits and vegetables to tone up the hormones.

If the periods regularize after this there is no worry. If the symptoms persist or you have heavy bleeding at any point see your doctor immediately and get examined and an ultrasound done along with hormone tests.

Please do not worry. Cancer is less likely.

Hope this was helpful.
Feel free to ask any further queries and I will be happy to help.
Thanks for using HCM.
Have a good day.
