Is It Normal To Have Periods Twice In A Month?

I had my period 18 days ago on the 10th of May and I started having light bleeding again on the 1st of June it started off brown like old blood then it started going a little more heavy like a period it lasted exactly 4 days but it kept going off and on. Its confusing me because its never happened like that before. Is that normal?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Getting periods twice a month is not normal at all in majority of the cases. Additional information for use of any oral contraceptive pills as missed dose may be part of common concern. Rest of the issues may be related to:
- Uterine polyp
- Adenomyosis
- Hormone imbalance
- Others

You must consult your OBGYN for primary work out and settle the issue at its best.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
