General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You are presently experiencing burning, pinching sensation near the vaginal cuff post hysterectomy. Patients may commonly get such symptoms post 4 weeks of hysterectomy, its normal. You should avoid doing any heavy work and stay at rest. Do not take stress unnecessarily, let the wound heal internally. Feeling burning or itching around the incision is normal.

Burning and tingling is the sign of nerve healing and regeneration. The sensory deficit usually resolves within five days and motor dysfunction takes up to ten weeks. However, complete recovery may take two years of time. Stay well hydrated and continue to take the prescription medicines. Since you are having stitch popping out, visit ER, get dressing done. Neglect may result in infection and delay in wound healing. Take home made balanced nutritious food and quality sleep.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
