Is It Normal To Have Placenta Located In Anterior Wall Of Middle Uterine Segment?
I m 33 weeks pregnant and I did ultrasound @ 31 weeks and my doctor told me that I have low lying placenta.I repeated at 33 weeks .the report was still I hav placenta previa less than 3 cm from oss.I repeated ultrasound in the next day with another doctor.he told no placenta previa my placenya is located in the anterior wall of middle uterine segment.is it normal?
Placenta can be situated in anterior, posterior and lateral walls of the uterus. It can be low lying or normally situated. Among these the cause for worry is a low lying placenta. As you are just 33 weeks pregnant there is still time for placenta to migrate up. An anterior placenta is a cause for concern only when it is low lying otherwise not.
Thanks
