Is It Normal To Have Recurring Pressure And Soreness In Head With Sinus And Allergy?
Hi! I have allergy and sinus issues and got a cold recently. I noticed a pressure on the right side of the head that went away after a few seconds. This has happened a few times the past few weeks and it s more annoying and awkward than painful. I think I also clench my jaws at night and my head above the ears are a bit sore. What are your thoughts?
You have history of sinus and cold, and presently you are experiencing soreness in head and discomfort. You can take antihistamines at bed time to ease discomfort. Decongestants may be helpful. You are suggested to take steam inhalation 2-3 times a day to help reduce sinus problems. Get clinically examined by an ENT. Get an X-ray PNS done to detect any nasal septal deviation. You may need correction surgery. You will be treated accordingly. Stay away from dust, pollen, animal dander, fumes, any pollution that may trigger your symptoms.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
