hi, my doctor advised me to take deviry 10mg tablet to stop a period, i have been taking the tablet for two days but on the third day drops of bloods are passing when i go to loo... is this normal because i thought while on this tablet i wont get my period??? pls help
Hi, Thanks for the query. Usually progesterone pills will help in postponing the periods. The possible causes for your spotting are : - You should take the tablets at the same time every day. Altering the time can induce withdrawal bleeding. - You should start the tablets at least 5 days before expected date of periods. If the process of menstruation started already, these tablets may not stop.
So, continue the tablets and observe your spotting. If spotting subsides, no need to worry. If spotting prolongs consult gynecologist once and get evaluated. Then depending on her advice you can go for additional dose of hormones or can allow the menstrual flow. Take care.
