Is It Normal To Have Strong Smelling Urine Towards The End Of The Day After Robotic Hysterectomy?

Yes, I was wondering, I had a robotic hysterectomy done a little over 2 weeks ago have been to the doctors twice for routine check ups and everything was good. I have noticed that as the day goes on when I urinate it is a strong smell, just wondering if this is normal. Have no temp, no real pain, just a little soreness still.

Hi,

The strong smelling urine might be related to:
- high concentration of urine (dehydrated)
- UTI infection
- foods/drinks you consume

If you did not consume any new food or drink recently, then, should increase water intake to dilute urine.

If still no improvement, then, should do a urine analysis to determine if you have UTI and a vaginal swab testing to rule out vaginal infection.

I also advise to:
- magnesium/zinc citrate
- cranberry/uva-ursi tea supplementation
- keep good hygiene of your genitalia

Hope it was of help!
