Is It Normal To Have Tender Breasts And Sore Nipples And Back And Abdominal Pains After Stopping Contraceptives?
Hi Dr I was on petogen for a year n I stopped using it a month ago so im a bit worried cause my breasts are so tender and the nipples are very sore im having back and abdominal pains so wanted to knoe if its normal to experience that after I ve stopped using contraceptives ....will be happy to hear from you Regards Ethel

It is a commonly used contraceptive.
Like all medications there are potential side effects including back or abdominal pain, breast discomfort.
It is possible that you are experiencing these symptoms as a result of this medication particularly if they resolve once the medication is discontinued.
If the symptoms are intolerable, you should consider asking your doctor for another form of contraception.
