Is It Normal To Have Tender Knees And Clotty Bleeding After Vaginal Birth?

My wife had vaginal birth last Thursday morning. No complication with delivery, Had lots of blood clot pass through Discharge Saturday morning, Sunday night large size blood clot pass through. Tonight 2 small blood clot pass through with mild bleeding. No dizziness, both knee feel sensitive. Any concern?

Thanks for the query.
After delivery some amount of bleeding can be seen for few days.
This will come in the former lochial discharge.
During first one week lochia mainly contains blood.
And gradually lochia will change in color.

Excessive bleeding during early postpartum days may indicate possibilities like retained products of conception, infection etc.
Some amount of body pains are common in postpartum period.
Once check for calf muscle tenderness.
Consult gynecologist once, get examined and go for ultrasound.
Ultrasound helps in ruling out the possibility of retained products or infection.
If calf muscle tenderness is noted, better to go for coagulation profile.
With this workup the possible cause for your problem can be identified and treated.
