Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is It Normal To Have Two Menstrual Cycles Within One Month?
I had a period May 1-4 and now again on the 27th. I am actively ttc. Never in life have I had 2 menses in 1 month. Also, I was on Mirena for 2 1/2 years and had that taken off in March of this year. Since having the Mirena removed, my periods have been regular starting on 31st and this month it started on the 1st. I ve taken a First Response pregnancy test which came out negative. So I guess my question is can I be pregnant or should I see a doc because of the 2 periods in one month situation?
Your history does not point towards pregnancy. As you had started your previous period on 1st of May and then on 27.Thus there is a gap of 26 days in the start of two periods, which is perfectly normal (Normal range being 23-35 days).
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
