Is It Normal To Have Weakness In Leg And Arm Post Head Injury?

my wife had a fall, resulting in a swelling to the back left of her head, as well as elbow and buttock and hip. She slipped in rainy weather on some steps whilst wearing leather soles. She spent next 36 hours in bed, sleeping for much of the time. When she got up, she found that she had weakness in her leg on the opposite side to the head injury, as well as to the arm on the same side. Speech is fine. The weakness has now gone on for 5 days. No headaches after first 36 hours.

Hi,

Still to rule out any long term severity MRI of the brain is suggested, this is crucial and important than X-rays of peripheral sites.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
