Is It Normal To Not Feel Any Pain While Getting Treatment At A Dentist While I Meditate Out Of Habit?
I use meditation/my sanctuary in my mind when dentist is drilling into my nerves and I feel no pain. Do other people know about this? My doctor told me I should pass this on to others before I pass on. Been doing this for 20 years, I did not think this was important to pass on until 3 weeks ago. Is it?
The possible reasons you are feeling no pain is that: 1) Due to local anesthetic injection at the time of surgery (tooth Drilling into nerve means root canal treatment 2) Medication containing analgesic that dentist might have prescribed 3) You might have had only initial caries which required only minimal drilling for arresting caries 4) Pain perseverance level for each individual is different your threshold might be higher compared to other people 5) All procedures are done under aseptic condition in a dental clinic which would reduce the chance of post surgical infection to an extent which can lead to healing at a faster rate and minimal pain post operatively
