Is It Normal To Notice Bleeding After The Removal Of Nexplanon Implant?

Hi, I got my Nexplanon implant removed Tuesday the 16th. I had bleeding the day after removal&Im confident that I ovulated the 26/27th. Since then I’ve had back pain, pulling/tugging in my lower abdomen across the top of my pubic area and my breasts are sore all the way around and even up into my armpit. All these happen daily. I took an hpt two days ago with a negative result. My period is due next Tuesday the 13th. Should I take another test soon? Is it possible to have gotten pregnant without getting a full period back? Do I need to make an appointment with my GP?

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,

Mild amount of bleeding after removal of Nexplanon implant is normal. This bleeding usually stops in the next 5-7 days. In case the bleeding is heavy or persistent then it needs proper treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rakhi Tayal, OBGYN
