Is It Normal To Wait A Month For Biopsy Results After A Colonoscopy, And Should I Be Concerned About Crohn S Disease?
I did colonoscopy 4 days ago dr don,t conformed that it s crohn s disease but they write may be you are doing process and they took biopsy of it but they told the report is coming after month its too long , lam scared is there any serious lam going to depression
Definitely, most of the times results of biopsy are not immediately available. As, it involves processing the tissue, staining and examining under a microscope by a qualified pathologist. The whole procedure may take from a few days to a few weeks depending on the no. of samples and availability of staff.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
