If she drinks alcohol while taking Bactrim, it may result in a harmful reaction in the form of unpleasant side effects such as fast heartbeats, warmth or redness under her skin, tingly feeling, nausea, and vomiting.
Since she is 75 years old and getting a faster heartbeats may not be good for her, so she must not be given alcohol or alcohol containing drinks during the "big weekend happenings" as along as she takes Bactrim.
Hope the advice given above would be helpful to her.
