Is It Ok To Take Dicyclomine Prescribed For IBS After Having Wine For Dinner?

I've been taking Dicyclomine 4 times a day for 4 days for IBS. I asked the doctor if it was OK to have wine while I'm taking this medicine and he indicated it would be. But I know that the medicine makes me a little drowsy. I took the last pill about 1P today, then had a glass of wine for dinner. Is it OK to take the pill at 11P before bedtime? Thanks.

Hi and hanks for the query,

It is preferable not to take drugs with alcohol. Alcohol on its own is not very healthy especially in patients with IBS. The ideal is the avoid alcohol as much as possible. Eating much vegetables, fruits and drinking a lot of water are the key recommended practices. Exercise has been shown to have many positive and remarkable effects in improving the clinical state of some patients with this condition. Thanks and kind regards.
