Is It Ok With Pulse Of 130 And Heart Thumping For 10 Year Old?
My grandadaughter will be 10 on Dec 26. We have raised her since birth. She got up this am saying " grandma, my heart is racing - feel it - I felt it all night."
Pulse is 130 have her resting for resting pulse now. No prior complaints... heart can be felt thumping in her chest. Has had a slight nasal cogestion and minor cold no fevers.
Is not overweight but not a very active child either compared to her siblings. Prefers quiet sitting to riding bikes, etc.

Hi...its not normal for a 10 year old to be having a heart rate of 130 that too resting heart rate. I suggest you go to emergency room immediately & get her seen by a pediatrician.... It could be viral myocarditis or as you are saying she's not an active kid either... Could be an unrecognized dilated cardiomyopathy too. Happy to help anytime.
