Is It Okay If Child Does Not Take Last Rabies Shot?

Hi, my son was bitten.scratched by our puppy that was 2 months old last jan.4,2014, the docotr in the ER told us that he thinks it is only a scratch even so, he gave my son anti rabbies just o be sure my son was supposed to have five shots but we only done four, i honestly say that i forgot about his last dose the last dose supposedly was feb. 2...the puppy that scratched my son is also okay as of today, is it okay if my son didnt get his lost shot?

I can understand your concern.

Rabies is a deadly disease and you cannot take any chances. Even though the dog is stable now I suggest you to complete the course of antirabies injections. I do not want to scare you by saying that rabies is a deadly disease but I want to stress the importance of completing the vaccination.
